The Man Behind the Machines
Faith, Resilience, and Horsepower on Murchison Road
When you see the sign for BIG Swin's V-Twins, you are looking at more than just a brand name. "BIG" stands for Believe In God. That faith is the foundation of this shop. It is what kept us standing when others folded, and it is the same integrity we bring to every bike that rolls onto a lift. We run this business on Christian values: honesty, hard work, and treating your bike like it was our own.
We aren't just a Harley shop that popped up yesterday. We are survivors. In 2016, our community was hit with a double-dose of disaster. First came the September rains, followed immediately by Hurricane Matthew. The floodwaters rose above the top of the shop’s door frames, destroying equipment and threatening to wash us away.
While many businesses on Murchison Road packed up and left, never to return, SwinDell Autry Sr. stayed.
There is a story we tell that proves our dedication to our customers: After the waters receded, the shop was covered in mud. But we had a customer with a custom bike job waiting. SwinDell didn't make excuses. He dug through that mud by hand to retrieve the specific bolts and parts needed to finish that motorcycle. That customer is still riding that bike past our shop today. That is the level of commitment you get at Big Swin's.
You don't just get heart here; you get world-class training. SwinDell Autry Sr. is a Certified Harley-Davidson Technician and a graduate of the Universal Technical Institute (Orlando).
We combine "old school" respect with modern technical certification. Whether it is a full engine rebuild, a custom wheel install, or performance tuning, your V-Twin is being handled by a trained professional who knows the specs inside and out.
We are proud to be located at 603 Murchison Road, right near the new Rowan Street bridge. Just as the bridge has reconnected our neighborhood to downtown Fayetteville, we are here to connect you to the best ride of your life. We survived the floods, we stayed for the community, and we are here to keep you rolling.
Don't trust your bike to just anyone. Trust the shop that stayed when the waters rose.
